Matthew's class had a party to celebrate all the volunteers-I did not go b/c I did not volunteer, and that might have been awkward, although, the day after the party Matthew tells me his teacher said I could have come, and it was for all parents-darn. Anyway, too bad we don't have sitters closer to I can volunteer:-( Wait, I'm getting side-tracked. The reason for this post is to share the two poems that Matthew made for the celebration. One was to create a word or words for each letter in the word "Volunteer" and the second poem was created with a friend. These were read in front of the class to the volunteers-wish I could have been there for that!
Here they are:
Very Awesome
Oh no you're gone
Locked Awesomeness inside you
Unawkard
Nice
Terrific
Extreme Awesomeness
Endless coolness
Rule
And the one created with a friend:
Volunteers, volunteers, you rule the school.
You help us be cool
Even though you aren't a fool
You bought us a cat
But not a hat
I want more from the door
But not from the poor
Give me a store,
And I will pay you more.
And that's how you help us be cool with a pool.
And that's a wrap (rap)!
We stare in awe and wonder at the billions of twinkling lights, using all our focus to preserve the memory of each one. An impossible task, but we accept the challenge; we live for the challenge.~Roxanne

Itty bitty clippies
When I ordered 150 "mini" alligator clips, I expected them to be the size of the one I made over at Kenna's (the pink and brown dragon-fly design clipped alongside the others). The clips arrived in a tiny package and were, well, tiny! I was initially disappointed, until I made one-they make the perfect clip for babies and toddlers. They clip in older childrens hair as well, but more for decoration than holding power.

Lets Make Something New!
I got together with my friend, Kenna, on Friday, and she showed me how to make adorable hair clippies for kids.
I love all things hair-related for little girls, so I was excited to learn how to do this. I picked out the ribbon that you see in the pic., and the possibilities are endless with the different ribbon combos. I'm planning on making more. This is one of many more to come, and I will, of course, post my updates!
Yum yum Spaghetti!

Cool Crochet Creation
I've definately been on a headband, hair-thing kick lately, and if you are tired of seeing all my headbands, don't worry, I'll probably be on to something new before you know it! Wish it wasn't that way with me, but that seems to be the trend. Anyways, this new crocheted headband is, I think, pretty awesome. This is my first attempt at crocheting in rounds rather than rows, and I liked the method. Also, I made this one with ties rather than closing it off at one size so that it can be adjusted in case it stretches (which they all do). I love this one:-) My best one yet in terms of being unique.

~~More pictures from Catherine~~
She cheered up once she was allowed to eat the sucker.
My girls. They look a little like sisters here, don't you think??!!!!
Love, just LOVE, this photo of Alyssa.
Our sweet little Reagan looks like an angel here-see her sharing a moment with her guardian angel?
Reagan ponders life-actually, I think she was wondering what was going on with her siblings in another part of the yard! How to choose which ones to put on the blog when I love them all???? There are many more than these that are beautiful photos, but I'm not going to post them all! If you are wondering where the boys are, they weren't the ones being photographed during this shoot, because that is a near impossibility to try and photograph so many kids during one shoot-not well anyway! If I am lucky enough, I'll be able to get together with Catherine again and get some pictures of the boys too!
