Matthew's Baseball Championship Game

The reward for such a great season and game, and just because....Mike and Matthew went to the Mariners vs Cubs game at Safeco Field in Seattle the week following Matthew's big win. Mike splurged and bought these great seats. Matthew had such a good time, he couldn't stop talking about this game.

Winner, Winner, WINNERS!!

Winner's of the Snoqualmie Valley Minors Champoinship Game. The team did awesome, and ended up winning in an extra inning (7th) with one of our players stealing home. It was an emotional game, and we were so proud of the Cubs. Matthew was the starting pitcher for this important game, and he was nervous, but focused, and did an amazing job.

After the fun we had last year, we knew we'd be attending the bike safety rodeo

this year! It was a beautiful day, and the same day as the block party, so we knew we'd be in for a long one! We walked and the kids biked the mile to the rodeo, where they participated in police officer manned bike safety courses, got new helmets (free!), their bikes checked and tires pumped, got their faces painted, jumped in bounce houses, danced to fun music with a large stuffed raccoon (person), got participitory t-shirts, and had loads of fun. From the rodeo, we headed over to our favorite Mexican Food Restaurant for lunch.

Two Saturdays ago we attended our neighborhood block party. WE had a great time visiting with friends we have, meeting new neighbors we have always had but had never really met, and eating good food!!

One neighbor set up a challenging bike obstacle course complete with ramps and bridges, and the kids spent hours on that! Of course the water balloon games were fun, and the weather cooperated and was perfect for the activities. We all ended up sun burned from our LONG but great day outside.

The kids got to stay up extra late watching "Cloudy with a chance of Meatballs" on a large screen hung in front of a neighbors garage, so they pulled out the sleeping bags and blankets and got comfy!

My brother, Sean, graduated High School and we are so proud of him! I was happy to get to be there to see him get his diploma. Ryan and I attended and got to cheer him on as he finished up with this important chapter of his life:-) We love you, Sean!!!!

August loves to check out kids CDs at the library, and then come home and play them for everyone. Her are the three of them gathering 'round a "Wiggles Country" CD.

Our new playroom shelving. We have both up now, but this was taken before the second one was complete. They are AWESOME for our playroom, and we get so much more use out of the room now that it is put together. The kids keep playing "talent show" where they (August and Alyssa) put on a science show, and we even go "underwater" in the show. The wall color is perfect for the show, and WE LOVE IT.

Britney turned Four Years Old-Happy Birthday, Britney!! We are planning a party for her. We bought her gifts, now we just need to have the party:-)

The Graduation scene. It was a nice ceremony. Ryan had written a response to a prompt that was given in his English class that could have been one of the graduation speeches-his teacher liked his and gave him the opportunity to share prior to the ceremony-but he declined. Darn, because I would have loved to have heard him read something to his graduating class.

I was frustrated that Ryan intentionally turned while walking past me so I could not snap this photo, and it looks like the guy across the way sympathized (see his face-that's how I felt when he did that!!). Teenagers.

August with Mrs. Axe. They called this night Author night, and the kids presented us with their books they had been working so hard on. They also each received a memory book. Each volunteer left with a vase and white flower as a thank you gift, and August brought one home for me and put in on my dresser next to my bed so I would be able to look at it. "Mom, your flower should go next to your bed so you can see it at night." He is so thoughtful and I love him SO much!
