Lake Chelan Summer 2012

When August rolls around and we realize we haven't taken any family trips together in the year, we usually try to drum something up. This year we decided to try something different, and opted for Lake Chelan over Great Wolf Lodge. I'll admit, I had a couple reservations about going somewhere new, only because I know how much fun we had at GWL, and was hesitant to go somewhere that we may or may not like as much. The verdict? We liked it as much or more!! All Reagan talks about is going back to Lake Chelan again:) Funny though, that she doesn't even remember Great Wolf Lodge. Then again, she was only just two?? when we went!
Here are some photos I am happy to finally be blogging about:

The drive over. It was a beautiful drive, and only a couple hours away!

We are here! What is better than an ice cream cone on a hot beach day! It was nice and muggy and hot...so heavenly to sit out and not be cold.

This resort (Campbells) had everything we needed. We had a bottom level room, and we could just walk back and forth from our room to the beach just feet away. Reagan could go in and lay on the bed when she wanted, while we sat in these lounge chairs and relaxed. We had our own private patio, bbq's and picnic table. It was truly perfect!

The life!

You can see in this photo just how close we are to the water. Our room was to the far right, just out of view in this picture.

Our room.

Doesn't this look great? It was!!

Mike and Matthew canoed all over the lake, and were so sore at the end of it. They loved it!

There is something so relaxing about sitting in a hot tub with the lake nearby. We alternated between the lake, the hot tub and the swimming pools.

The ice cream shop was right across the street from the hotel.

This is so funny! This picture is of Reagan when it wasn't her turn on Daddy's back in the water. It was her sister's turn, and she was pouting, big time!

My turn now! All smiles:)

When Mike was in the pool with the kids on our last night, I was outside the pool taking photos, and this was what the sun was doing. Beautiful!

One last breakfast at the hotel restaurant. We agreed that this was the best place to eat in town, and next time we won't bother with too much exploring...this was great!

Until Next Time....!
