He had his new backpack and new shoes, and was excited the morning of his first day. What's better, he was still excited when he got home that day, and was happy to be going back the next day! They spent time getting to know the other students, and he got to design his own name tag for his desk, which he thought was fun. He has a male teacher this year, Mr. Deniston, and we have heard lots of great things about him, so I think this change will be great for Matthew.
