On to Cannon Beach!...Vacation part 4

On Saturday afternoon we left Depoe Bay and drove two hours up 101 to Cannon Beach.  On a gorgeous day like this one was, we entered into a town that was loaded with tourists.  We didn't mind though-it just added to the fun atmosphere.  After unloading, we headed out to the beach!
It didn't take us long to get comfy on the beach!

This is where Ecola Creek dumps into the ocean.

What a beautiful day!

Lots of people!!

Cannon Beach is known for its beautiful soft sandy beach.  The sand is just heavenly!

Grandma and Matthew:-)

August liked taking off and running as fast as his feet would allow through the sand.

After a night's rest we got up and walked over to this park! On the walk back to the hotel I had to run in my favorite food place: Ecola Seafood and Deli.  They have these shrimp and crab boats that are so fresh, and we also got some salmon jerky, that was amazing!

These pictures were taken while I was laying down on a blanket in the hot sand.  It felt so nice! We could have stayed out ALL day.

This was so relaxing. It was the warmest day at the beach.  This is the stuff vacation is made of!

The infamous sand hill my kids love.

See the lighthouse in the distance? It is very pretty.

The Seaside arcade.  One of our traditional stops: pizza (so yummy!!) and arcade games.

Another favorite place of ours: The Astoria aquatic center.

This place is great, and never too crowded.

Time to go home, and the weather had clouded up the morning we left, although it was still really warm.  I liked the mysteriousness of the way this scene looked.

Beautiful!
