California Fun 2012: Part 2: Disney On Ice

More California Fun:

Disney On Ice: Toy Story 3, here we come!

Barbie was great!

We were about 4 rows up and center stage, so we had the perfect view!

"Toy Story 3" was spelled out in blocks at the end, but you don't even notice it is being done until they exit the stage, and there it is!

Some videos, for those who feel like watching a few clips from the show:

This clip is when Ken Doll was trying on different outfits for Barbie...really funny! If you watch this clip to the end, you can see the big smile Reagan gave me!

California Fun 2012: Part 1

As most of you know, we were fortunate to be gifted with a trip to California the second part of February.  It was a great, great trip and we loved every day and minute of it!!

Here are some pictures and highlights of our trip:

We flew in on Grandpa Jim's Birthday, so we got to be there to celebrate the evening with him.  The kids helped create a special gift for him, so they were excited to give it to him after cake!

Sitting on the plane, ready for take-off! Get us out of this freezing weather!!

Sunshine!!

Relaxing at Grandpa and Nana's E.D. house.

The kids out on my sister's trampoline.
Ashlee is not a little kid anymore! She is a terrific neice:-)
So very nice to see all the cousins together again! I know that they miss each other so much!!

This is a great picture of Alyssa in the tire swing Forrest made.  Awesome!
The Women in the kitchen:-) If you want a truly halarious before and after shot, you should check out my sister's blog: sweethartfamily.blogspot.com
She has a lot of photos of our visit as well.
Rachel and I. She was slow to warm up to me, but I tricked her into this photo;-)
Sweet Anthony! He is one of the happiest, content babies I have ever met!
Kaitlyn and Reagan. They had fun together on the first day! Funny though, Reagan took a real liking to Rachel. Even though Rachel is younger, Reagan followed her around and seemed  drawn to her. It was so sweet!

Valentines Day 2012

Before I can begin my post on our wonderful trip to California, I want to fill in the first part of February, or more specifically, Valentines Day.

Our Valentines Day was fun in that the kids loved getting gifts and donuts in the morning, they all had fun parties in their class, and I was in charge of Alyssa's class party, and therefore in the class to execute the whole thing.  It was great and I loved being there! We made dinner fun by picking up a heart shaped pizza from Papa Murphy's.

Some pics from the day:

Presents and Hostess Donuts await the kids in the morning.

I bought this fun game from Oriental Trading for Alyssa's class party.  It was a big hit, and it got double duty when I walked it across the hall  for August's class party that afternoon! When we brought it home after school, the Schaal kids had some fun with it in the living room.

Pin the Heart on the Bee.  Also a fun game in class and at home.

I can't remember what Alyssa was doing here...

On Friday the 17th, August's class held a "Fairytale Ball" that the parents were invited to attend.  It was sweet! The kids broke up into three groups and performed a well known fairytale for the audience.  August was a forest creature in his play, "Little Red Riding Hood".

August and his teacher, Miss Glenn. She was dressed like Cinderella. She could easily pass for a Disney Princess, she is so beautiful!

Alyssa wore her Princess Dress to the Ball;-)

Some refreshments! Reagan wore her Cinderella dress.

One more of August with Miss Glenn.
